Please note that many of the treatments listed below can be combined into a personal treatment plan. Your therapist will able to advise you about this at your first consultation/treatment session – or contact us for details.
Herbal Medicine
What happens at a consultation?
At your first consultation a detailed case history will be taken. This involves discussing your current health problems as well as reviewing your lifestyle, diet and past health history. This, together with the use of Iridology builds up a detailed picture of you as an individual and forms the basis of your personal treatment plan. The aim of the treatment plan is to addresses not only your symptoms, but also the underlying causes of your health problem. All information is held in the strictest confidence.
How long does an appointment last?
Your first appointment will last between 1 and 1½ hours. Follow up visits last about a ½ hour.
How long will it take for me to get well?
Obviously this will vary depending on the nature and severity of your health problem. Also the length of time that you’ve suffered from your illness has an effect. Recent health issues can often be cleared up relatively quickly whilst problems that have existed or developed over many months or years may take longer to treat.
How often will I need to see the herbalist?
After the first appointment we recommend that you book a follow up appointment for about 2 weeks later. This allows progress to be assessed as well as allowing you the chance to raise any queries or concerns with the herbalist regarding your treatment. Further visits are then arranged at 4 to 6 week intervals, and adjustments made to your herbal prescription as your health improves.
Iridology
What happens at a consultation?
A case history will be taken. This will include discussing your current health problems as well as reviewing your lifestyle, diet and past health history. A detailed examination of the irises of your eyes will then take place. This is painless and simply involves shining a light into your eyes so that the structure and details of the irises can be seen and recorded. From this together with your case history, the iridologist will be able to recommend a diet and lifestyle regime to address your current health issues and also to help prevent further problems in the future.
Massage
Treatments usually last 1hour (except for a back, neck and shoulder massage which is a ½ hour). Your first appointment will be longer (1½ hours) because it includes a short consultation to determine what you are hoping to get from the massage (e.g. relaxation, stimulation, treatment of specific problems), an explanation of the treatment and some questions about your health history. This is so that we can tailor the treatment to your specific needs.Your massage treatment can incorporate Hot Stones or Essential Oils (aromatherapy). Please specify if you want Hot Stone massage when you make your booking.
Reiki
As with massage, treatments last 1hour. Again, your first appointment will last for up to 1½ hours, to allow for consultation time. |
